Here are some of the significant updates that Salesforce Marketing Cloud March 2020 is going to deliver –

Content Builder:

Build Interactive Emails with New Content Builder features

Salesforce has made Interactive email forms possible and this renders directly into the recipient’s inbox. This new content builder block helps marketers to gather client intelligence and audience preferences like never before.

When: The feature will be available from April 10, 2020.

Who: This new feature is designed to assist marketers who want to gather audience intel, review products or segment the audience.

How: It requires the user to drag the email blog onto the editor and configure its settings to ensure the quality of the email forms before publishing them. The admins can enable the availability of the block by using admin settings.

Distributed marketing:

Salesforce has worked on its Quick Send feature to improve its agility and deliver a vast number of solutions:

Quick Send Enhancements

Now users can define values for each Quick message they can access. All the modifications to be made by the users are now available in the quick send workflow and would only be visible to that particular user.

Quick Send from Opportunity Records

The users can now quickly send messages directly from the opportunity record to engage with individuals efficiently and effectively to close deals faster. These messages can be personalized, and the logs will be stored into the opportunities chatter feed with a name and date/time stamp.

SMS Quick Send

The SMSs are sent via Journey Builder by using Mobile Connect to update the SMS activities. Using SMS Quick Send, users can send pre-approved and customized messages to assist distributed marketing campaign.

Considerations:

  • Using Lightning Builder or CommunityBuilder, the default setting of sending messages to the standard CRM phone field can be modified.
  • Messages can only be sent by using a valid phone number.
  • The SMS messages are not available for Bulk Quick Send workflow.
  • The message delivery confirmation is not available for the CRM, but it can be accessed using Quick Send from Case workflows and Opportunities.

Mobile Studio:

MobileConnect

With mobile connect, the users can now track the delivery receipts for each individual with “SMSMessageTracking” Data View. This makes the status of SMS delivery universal.

How: The “SMSMessageTracking” data view for Automation Studio helps the user to query and send back the receipt automatically.

Mobile Push

The users of Mobile Push and Journey Builder can now acquire full-page In-App templates with images filled to create messages that engage the audience.

How: First, it requires to update the MobilePush SDK, then while creating In-App message in Journey Builder or Content Builder, select Image Fill and Full Page template.

Mobile Push SDK

The Mobile Push SDK helps in supporting the image fill for In-App messages, and the full-page In-App message template automatically crops images to 16:9 aspect ratio. This helps in delivering a better image display that can drive engagement right from your app.

Marketing Cloud Platform:

Creating Brands with Brand Builder

The Brand Builder helps to update your marketing account without engaging with the Salesforce Customer Support case. It lets the user update profiles, unsubscribe, and subscribe to carefully align with the brand. The users can create brands without engaging in time-consuming processes and can also change the brand style whenever required.

Edit and Activate Parameter Strings

The parameter manager helps to update and edit parameter strings with a smooth and swift process.

How: To deactivate, edit, and activate strings, the user needs to navigate to Parameter Manager in Marketing Cloud and click ‘Edit’ to edit it accordingly. Also, the user can activate and deactivate the strings from the same point.

Personalization Builder:

Configuring Tag scenarios

Einstein Web Recommendation and Einstein Email Recommendation can find specific tag characteristics by entering one or two-character values in each particular situation.

When: The feature is generally available to Einstein Web Recommendations and Einstein Email Recommendations users.

Why: Customers might configure catalog data without knowing that only more than two characters’ values are eligible for each specific tag scenario.

Marketing Cloud Einstein:

Insights for Email Activities

It gives marketers the understanding of email activities and their effectiveness on the audience, right from their Journey. It analyzes every aspect of email activity like open rate, click rate, subscription, and unsubscription to identify the strength of each email.

Why: Click rate, open rate, subscription, and unsubscribe rate for individual emails are monitored on a daily basis. The flags are the indicators of email performance, and Einstein calculates all the data to deliver the insights.

How: To track every customer, there is a chart dedicated to each individual that helps in finding the results.

Einstein Insights for Automated Emails

Einstein accumulates and processes all the automated email activity data to produce reliable insights. It takes parameters like open rate, click rate, subscription, and unsubscription into consideration along with other engagement anomalies.
