    Hi,

    Support Process is only for the "Status" pick list. The pick list values available in the status of a case record type determine a support process. It is only a business relevant feature as the status field is the most process-specific field on a case. The status field cannot be customised on a record type, it can only be customised in a support process.

    A support process is the case status values assigned to a case record type. (chosen from the case status field values)

    A Business process is the stage values assigned to an opportunity record type. (chosen from the opportunity stage field values)
