Salesforce's Top 10 Summer '21 Release Features
In the digital-first world, things change at the speed of light. New technologies, software, techniques are innovated, upgraded, and updated every day. One must keep abreast and ahead of every change that takes place in order to stay ahead of the curve. Salesforce releases its special winter, spring, and summer features every year with all the latest updates.
Let’s have a look at this year's summer’21 top 10 features.
1. Campaigns
Tools for account-based campaign management are now widely available. Add accounts from similar lists as campaign participants. To keep track of their involvement, produce regular and custom reports.
Where: This modification is available through all Salesforce editions.
How: Turn on the feature in Salesforce Setup to enable users to add accounts as campaign participants. Then, on account records, update the page templates to include the Campaign History linked list.
2. Send List Email Your Way (Pilot)
Allow your salespeople to choose how they want to submit their list of emails. Reps can also use Outlook or Gmail to send list emails. Reps could only submit list emails via Salesforce previously.
Where: This version will be available in the Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Efficiency, and Unlimited editions of Lightning Experience.
How: Enter Send through External Email Services in the Quick Find box in Setup, and then pick Send through External Email Services.

3. Connect with Customers and Prospects via LinkedIn with Native Sales Navigator Integration
Where: This transition affects Enterprise, Professional, and Unlimited editions of Lightning Experience.
How: Connect the LinkedIn Sales Navigator (Native) elements to the lead, touch, incentive, and profile pages in Lightning App Builder. Add the Lightning acts InMail and Link Request to the same sites.
4. Control Access to Sensitive Data with Restriction Rules (Beta)
Allowing your users to see only the records required for their skill level will help you protect your data and increase productivity. Create restriction rules to limit which documents specific groups of users have access to. Unique objects, contracts, assignments, and events all have restriction rules. The Tooling and Metadata APIs can be used to build and maintain restriction laws. They add a layer of access control to your current sharing settings, allowing you to set completely private visibility.
Where: This change affects Enterprise, Efficiency, Unlimited, and Developer versions of Lightning Experience.
How: Contact Salesforce for more details on how to enable this feature. The Tooling or Metadata API can be used to build and change restriction laws. For more detail, see the Restriction Rules Developer Guide (Beta).
5. Directly Update Fields in Record-Triggered Flows
You can now directly modify the record that caused the flow with a new option in the Update Records element for record-triggered flows. Previously, you had to use a Decision element to set filter criteria for the initiating record, but now you can use the Update Records element. The Update Records feature only shows fields that you can alter, and it's available in all record and schedule-triggered flows. You can now easily switch between performance flows that run before or after the record is saved, thanks to these updates.
Where: In the Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Efficiency, Unlimited, and Developer versions, this move affects Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic.
How: To every streak flow, attach an Upgrade Records feature. Just the first alternative is selectable for before-save record-triggered flows, even though all three choices for How to Find Records to Update and Set Their Values are shown. We're going to set up a before-save record-triggered account flow in this example.
6. Create, Edit, and Delete Tasks with the Customer Community License
Customer Group licenses are used to update activities. Tasks that a user owns can be created, edited, and deleted. They can also make changes to tasks that have been shared with them and build tasks for other users.
Where: This move affects Aura, LWR, and Visualforce sites in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer versions that are accessed through Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic.
How: To give users this access, allow Edit Task on the Customer Community and Consumer Group Login profiles.
7. Automate Pricing Proposals with Salesforce Flow
8. Update Fields from the Report Run Page with Inline Editing (Beta)
Save time and clicks by keeping the details in your reports and object records up to date. It is not appropriate to go back to the original object record to correct the details when the source data for a report becomes out of date. You can update those types of text, numeric, and checkbox fields without leaving the Report Run page using inline editing. Sales reps, for example, can run an opportunity report and review and change opportunity amounts all in one location.

9. Rebate Management
Increase Your Rebate-Driven Sales with Einstein Discovery for Rebate Management (Beta)
Display rebate-driven revenue forecasts, find high-potential accounts to add to rebate programs, and suggest top rebate programs to your customers using the Einstein Discovery for Rebate Management app.
Where: Tableau CRM in Lightning Experience, as well as all versions of the Salesforce app in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions, are affected by this update.
How: Select App from Tableau CRM Analytics Studio's Create menu. Select Einstein Discovery for Rebate Management, and then build your app by following the wizard's instructions.
10. Use the Updated Journey Analytics Dashboard
The Journey Analytics Dashboard has been updated with a cleaner interface and updated dashboard editing flow, you get the same powerful monitoring. The tiles on the dashboard show the same data, but we compressed the onscreen space for a more data-heavy look and feel. The configuration menu was also streamlined. It used to be a chore to change dashboard views. There's now a settings panel where you can do it all at once.
Bonus: Show your users three custom walkthroughs for free
You can now build as many walkthroughs as you want and reveal up to three at a time to your users. Subscribe to myTrailhead if you want to show them something. Previously, you needed a myTrailhead membership or a free app to allow custom checklists for your users.
Where: This move affects the Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer versions of Lightning Experience.
