CPQ Bundle Configuration

Any ideas on the below (tricky) CPQ scenario?
There is a need for a specific product to be shown as a Bundle (with tones of product options and features) if it's used on a quote type (let's say Quote Type A) but in the same type if this same product is added to another quote type to not be configurable at all but instead be inserted as a single line.
The challenge is that the bundle config is done on the product level therefore if we don't create duplicate products, would it be possible to achieve this in another way?
