What is the reason for the truncate button is not visible on Salesforce Custom Object?

This is because of the following reasons:

1. Are referenced by another object through a lookup field or that is on the master side of a master-detail relationship
2. Are referenced in a reporting snapshot
3. Have a custom index or an external ID
