How can I override the standard Account view with a Visualforce page?
How can I override the standard Account view with a Visualforce page? What I want is when I click on any account record the Visualforce page that I have created shows up.

Please follow these simple steps to achieve the result:-
- From the object management settings for accounts, go to Buttons, Links, and Actions.
- Click Edit next to View.
- For Override With select Visualforce Page.
- From the Visualforce Page drop-down list, select tabbedAccount.
- Click Save.

Go to setup > Click on button and links for any standard object for which you have created the custom visualforce page > click on view button > override with your page
Note : It will work only with those pages which are using the standard controller
