    1. Tasks.
    2. Email alerts.
    3. field updates.
    4. Outbound messages

    Hi

    There are two Workflow types availble.

     

    1. Immediate Workflow rule

    Workflow rule fires immediately when the workflow criteria is met, and the associated actions (email alert/field update etc.,) will take place immediatlely.

     

    2. Time Dependent Workflow rule

    When the workflow entry criteria is met, associated actions (email alert/field update etc.,) will take place after a certain period of time. This time is based on the value that you set.

     

    Different Workflow Actions:

    Update a field
    Send an email
    Assign a task to a Salesforce User
    Send an outbound message

    Workflow has following actions-

    1. Create Task
    2. Update Field
    3. Email Alert
    4. Outbound Message
    5. Send actions

    Basically, there are four different types of workflow actions which are available in Salesforce that are-

    1.Mail alert.
    2.Field update.
    3.Outbound Message.
    4.Assigning Task
