Hello Anjali,
You can use ISPICKVAL() with IF condition.
Example-
IF(ISPICKVAL(API__c1, "Option1"), Sobject.field_name,
IF(ISPICKVAL(API__c2, "Option2"), Sobject.field_name
IF(ISPICKVAL(API__c3, "Option3"), NULL))).Thanks.
