    Yes, It is possible to create Master-Detail Relationship on existing record. First we have to create Look-Up relationship to a  record then convert it to master-Detail Relationship.

    You cannot create a new Master-Detail relationship on an existing custom object if records already exist. You must first create a Lookup relationship, populate the lookup field with data in all records, and then change the relationship type to Master-Detail.   Click here to return to the previous page.

    Hi,

    You need to create a lookup field then fill this field with some parent value, then convert its type to master detail.

    Hi,

    No we can’t create directly we need to first create look up and then we can convert it into master detail
