Continue Working While Amending Contracts

With this Salesforce Spring ’21 feature, users can now continue working in their Salesforce environment while amending contracts whenever a new option is selected. Previously, reps were required to wait for the completion of the amendment process before starting to work again. This new option is now available for Sales reps whenever you use the Salesforce CPQ Large-Scale Renewal and Amendment service and deselect the legacy service option.

Where: This Salesforce Spring ’21 feature is available in Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience for all Salesforce CPQ editions.

How:  Go to the setup, and in the Quick Find box, enter Installed Packages, and then select them. Click on the “Subscriptions and Renewals” tab. If the “Use Legacy Amend/Renew Service” is selected, then deselect it, and select “Amend Contracts in Background.”

Switching to Large-Scale Amendment and Renewal Service made easy.

Before the Salesforce Spring ’21 release, if the field names in your contracts were too long, you could not switch back from the Legacy Renew/Amend Service to the Salesforce CPQ Large-Scale Amendment and Renewal Service. Now users can complete renewal and amendment transactions regardless of whichever renewal and amendment service they use.

Contract Larger Orders in Less Time

Your sales reps can now create contract orders with twice as many line items as before with Salesforce CPQ. The number of line items in the contract depends on your organization’s configuration.
