  1. I've used numerous business scanners with Salesforce and I have to say that my experience has been a huge waste of time and effort to try to get them to work properly and accurately. Business cards have no standard formats and the OCR functions vary from good to very poor. Even 99% accuracy on a single card scan means that the phone number, persons email address or part of their name is wrong and either you missed that and wonder why their emails bounce or they don't answer the phone number you call or you have to carefully check every scanned card for accuracy. Most save to .CSV file and then you have to import and deal with duplicates. More time wasted. The other temptation is a salesperson who wants to methodically scan the card for every person they ever meet. Again a huge waste of time. Better to filter out the junk, manually enter the quality new leads, add comments from your recollection of the meeting and add followup tasks.  If you have no immediate need to followup or any notes on the card then best you just file them in your bottom drawer so you can throw them out at xmas time.
